How to Unsubscribe From Emails Without an Unsubscribe Link?

You may get into such a situation: You have hundreds (or even thousands) of emails, but they are mostly newsletters that are taking up space for in your mailbox. Or because there are so many of them, you miss out important emails. What’s even more annoying is that there are no means to unsubscribe.

Now, you no longer have to worry about this problem for you have come to the correct site. In this site, you will learn how to “unsubscribe” from emails without and unsubscribe link. There are 4 simple ways to do so.

1.Set up a filter to filter messages from those companies.

A filter helps you to filter incoming emails and do the action you have commanded. Once you set up a filter, you will never ever have to see messages from that sender in your email again!

How?

Step 1: Click on the email from the mailing address you wish to filter.

Step 2: Click on the “three dot”/ “more” button (found at the top right corner of the email).

Step 3: Click on “Filter messages like this”.

Step 4: A form will pop up. Enter your criteria.

Step 5: Then, click on “Create filter” and choose your desired action. For most of you, it should be “Delete it”.

Step 6: Once done, click on “Create filter”.

Step 7: Now, you’re all set! Next time you receive emails from this email address, it will be automatically deleted!

2. Reply to the sender and ask them to remove you from the mailing list.

The second way to solve this problem is to reply to the sender,  giving friendly feedback as to why you unsubscribe, which would take a longer time as compared to the other solutions available. However, do bear in mind not to reply with an angry email. These emails are likely marketing emails from legitimate companies so it may not be a good idea to send them a harsh reply.

3. Block the sender.

Another easier way is to just block the sender, so that the sender will not be able to send you the emails (and yes, as a result you will not receive those emails). Fret not, you can always unblock the email address anytime you want.

How?

Step 1: Click on the email from the mailing address you wish to block.

Step 2: Click on the “three dot”/ “more” button (found at the top right corner of the email).

Step 3: Click on “Block ___”.

Step 4: Done!

4. Set up a separate email account.

You can create a separate email account for newsletters only. In this way, you can keep your personal/work email account free of emails from your subscriptions. And at the same time… not be afraid that you would miss out on offers from those companies!

Now, you would have known several ways to solve this problem. Choose the solution that works best for you!
